Kim Receives Borg Early Career Award

Columbia Professor Martha Kim is one of two recipients of the 2016 Borg Early Career Award (BECA). BECA is awarded annually to an individual who has made significant research contributions and has had a positive impact on advancing diversity in the computing research community. The recipient must identify as a woman, have received their PhD no more than eight years ago, and be associated with an institution in the US or Canada.

Kim's current research focus is hardware and software techniques improving the usability of hardware accelerators, data-centric accelerator design, and application-level power management.
